Bucolic scenery at its best caught on my phone in a lay-by as I was driving back from a quick trip to the Co-op via a tiny little road I hadn’t explored before.
As you can see from the sky, it has been trying to rain all day. The earth is so parched and cracked despite last night’s rainfall. I’m tempted to water.
Since posting this, my brain has been full of what a colleague at work calls an ‘earworm’ – when a tune, or part of one, just won’t leave your brain. Courtesy of the soundalike title, in my case it is “Speakeasy” from the film Bugsy Malone – thanks to the words “Fat Sam’s grand slam – Speakeasy,” sung by the young Jodie Foster. Crazy, eh?
Just realised that there’s another Foster/Lamb connection. Odd.
